Shopping Purchases In Duty Free
 
Travellers are allowed to take onto the plane, in larger quantities, any liquids that have been purchased in the outlets found in the departure lounge.
 
Liquid purchases are normally placed in a clear bag by check-out staff, which is then sealed. Do not break this seal until you have reached your final destination. Also retain your receipt.
 
Do note however that all duty free allowances still apply to the Country you are travelling to.
 
Flight Back To The UK (or via)
 
Travelling from an airport in the EU, Norway, Iceland or Switzerland:
The arrangements outlined above apply. Please note that larger cabin bags will be permitted in some member states on a transitional basis until April 2007, when the maximum size permitted (length 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm) will be in force at all airports in the EU.
 
Travelling from an airport in any other country:
Local Arrangements apply.
 

Please Note - Transit Passengers

 
Transit passengers - should your journey involve changing flights at an EU Country special restrictions will apply.

You may only take liquid items, like duty free, through the security check points at the connecting airport if:
 
  • they adhere to the EU requirements for passengers departing from EU airports as set out above; or

  • goods have been purchased airside at another EU airport, or duty free on board an EU operated aircraft

    or, any liquid items in excess of 100ml purchased from another airport or on board a flight can only be carried as hold baggage on the connecting flight.

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
